Much less modern looking then other cities. Many buildings have planters and so many lovely flowers. Some of the nicest rose bushes growing around entrances. The parks are great too. Clara and I put a deposit on a picnic basket at a bagel shop that we found, they packed the picnic for us and had a lovely picnic in Vondel Park.
The bike traffic here is pretty insane, expecially with all the wondering tourist, on bikes and on foot. And sometimes it can be hard to decipher a bike lane from a walking lane. It really has kept me on my toes. Tomorrow we're either going to the Van Gogh Museum or taking a boat tour in the Canal, depending on the weather in the morning, then we're planning on going to the Botanical Gardens and hear some music in the Afternoon. I'm getting much more comfortable in reading a map, finding where I want to go and getting there.
Last night we went to bed early, since we got very little sleep sitting on the train, and I can't even explain how great it was to sleep horizontally.
Monday we are headed to Prauge on another night train. I hope it goes well and We get a little more sleep than the last time. If not I hope the beds at the next hostel are comfortable. We can only Hope!
